Russian boy, four, ‘sees his step-father stab his mother to death’ then rings his grandmother to say: ‘He killed my mum with a knife’

A four-year-old boy has seen ‘his mother being brutally stabbed by his stepdad’ before ringing his grandmother at 4am to ask for help.
When Denis Lisin phoned Nadezhda Shelepova, he said: ‘He killed my mum with a knife.’
The boy picked up his murdered mother’s mobile from beside her corpse as soon as the alleged killer Eldar Movsumov, 35, had left the flat, according to law enforcement.

The alleged murder took place in a flat in the Russian city of Novosibirsk.
Scared and distressed, the boy phoned his grandmother to ask for help.
The suspect had allegedly accused his partner Olesya Lisina, 29, the boy’s mother, of being unfaithful and ‘flirting with different men’, police sources say.
Young Denis told Mrs Shelepova, 48, that his mother and her partner had had a furious argument during the night and he had not been able to sleep.
Movsumov allegedly used a kitchen knife to inflict a fatal wound on the woman.
‘The child was not sleeping because the adults were loud and started arguing towards the morning,’ a law enforcement source said.
‘There was one knife stab around the heart.

Olesya Lisina’s mother, grandmother of Denis, Nadezhda Shelepova, received a phone call from the boy and soon alerted the police
‘The boy saw everything.
‘After the murder, his stepfather locked the door and left the child with his dead mother in the apartment.
‘The boy knows how to use mobile phone.
‘He rang his babushka (grandmother) and told her that his mother had been killed.’
Mrs Shelepova then called the police who quickly detained Movsumov.
The suspect has been interrogated and faces a murder charge, according to law enforcement sources.
Reports say the child is with his relatives and is being given psychological assistance.
