Boyfriend, 23, who dangled partner 20ft from flat window is jailed for two years

A mother-of-one was dangled by her feet out of a window by her violent ex-boyfriend after she ended their relationship.

Jarron Webb, 23, lost control when Kayleigh Parker, 22, broke up with him so stormed round to her home in Kent where he threatened to kill her.

Webb stabbed her beloved dog Ruby before picking up Ms Parker and dangling her out of her bedroom window, 20ft from the ground.

Speaking after Webb was jailed for 21 months in July 2017, Ms Parker said the ordeal was the ‘most horrific experience of her life.’

She has now shared her story in a bid to highlight the dangers of abusive relationships.

She said: ‘I was terrified he was going to let go of me and I’d die. I want to warn other women to get out of controlling relationships before it’s too late.’

The pair met through mutual friends on a night out in September 2016 and started dating but one month later, Webb’s mother died.

The mother-of-one has now revealed how their relationship quickly soured.

In November, Webb moved the first-floor flat Ms Parker shared with her dog, Ruby, but he began texting her constantly, demanding to know where she was at all times.

She said: ‘Jarron quickly became possessive and I was tiring of his mistrust. It was exhausting having to reassure him constantly.’

In December, Ms Parker’s friend came over to visit but began flirting with Webb.

She added: ‘I told him I was annoyed, but he insisted it was harmless banter.’

The next morning when Webb went to work, Ms Parker and her friend argued about the night before and her friend revealed Webb had confessed to fancying her.

Ms Parker said: ‘I told her to leave and texted Jarron, telling him it was over.

‘I told him to come over and get his stuff, as I knew something was going on between them. He denied it, but I told him I was done.’

That evening, Webb went to the flat, stormed into the bedroom and began packing his belongings, while Ms Parker sat in the living room on her phone.

‘Out of nowhere, Jarron started screaming at me, calling me a w***e.

‘I yelled at him, telling him I’d never cheated on him and had been nothing but supportive towards him since his mum had died.’

He then went into the kitchen and grabbed a knife, and made his way into the bedroom where Kayleigh’s dog, Ruby, was cowering in the corner.

‘He was raging, and slammed the door behind him. Then I heard a yelp,’ Ms Parker said.

‘He shouted through the door that he’d stabbed Ruby. I desperately tried to kick in the door to get to her, but Jarron’s body was blocking it.’

Webb then came out and grabbed Ms Parker roughly by the waist.

‘He marched over to me and said, “You’re going out the window”. I tried to fight him off, but he was too strong.’

Webb picked her up in a fireman’s lift and shoved her face first out of the open window which had a 20ft drop down to her neighbour’s garden.

She was dangling off the window ledge by her feet and screamed for help.

She added: ‘He told me he’d kill me. I thought I was going to die. He was holding me by my feet. My whole life flashed before my eyes.’

Webb pulled her back in after five minutes, when a neighbour knocked on the door, threatening to call the police.

Ms Parker said: ‘Afterwards, he answered the door like nothing had happened, saying we’d just had an argument.

‘Thankfully, the neighbour had already called the police who arrived and arrested him.’

Ms Parker’s dog was not seriously injured in the attack.

Webb denied all the charges against him but on the first day of his trial, changed his plea to guilty and admitted assault, making threats to kill and damaging property.

In July 2017, Webb, from Luton, was sentenced to 21 months in prison at Canterbury Crown Court and was given a five-year restraining order.

Ms Parker added: ‘I was numb when the judge gave him jail time, I was relieved he was behind bars. As soon as men show signs of controlling behaviour, get out of the relationship, before it’s too late.’
