Breaking Bad star Betsy Brandt and her spouse Grady Olsen are officially ending their 25-year marriage as the year winds down, as she has filed for divorce.
The Bay City, Michigan native, 51, cited ‘irreconcilable differences’ as the cause of the split, noting that the pair had separated in August of 2023, a month before their 25th wedding anniversary, TMZ reported Thursday after reviewing court documents.
Brandt and Olson, 51, initially wed in September of 1998 and are parents to two children.
Brandt in legal documents requested legal and physical custody of their minor child August, 16.
Brandt told the court she and Olson would need to divide their assets in the wake of the divorce, the outlet reported.
Dailymail.com has reached out to Brandt’s reps for comment on the story.

Brandt did not use the services of an attorney in her divorce filing, in a move comparable to what Jennifer Lopez did in her August divorce filing from Ben Affleck, according to the outlet.
Brandt played the role of Marie Schrader on the AMC hit series Breaking Bad from 2008-2013.
She was the storyline wife of Hank Schrader (Dean Norris) and sister-in-law of Walter White (Bryan Cranston) on the feted series, which also starred Anna Gunn, RJ Mitte, Bob Odenkirk and Aaron Paul.
Among the nuances of the character included an unlikely affinity for stealing things, an obsession with the color purple and a passionate hatred for the main character played by Cranston after his dramatic actions come to light.
Speaking with Michigan Live in 2011 about her character, she said, ‘We’ve seen things from Marie that the audience wouldn’t expect.
‘I felt pretty comfortable with creator Vince Gilligan, that I could make some bold choices with my character and he wouldn’t let her be just one note. There are things about her that are not likable, but not totally unlikable.’
She returned to the Breaking Bad universe with a cameo in the finale of the spinoff, Better Call Saul, in 2022.
‘I was hopeful that I would come back at some point,’ she told Variety in August of 2022. ‘As the seasons went on, I didn’t know, but I’m honored they had me back for the finale.

Brandt subsequently appeared on the CBS sitcom Life in Pieces from 2015-2019 over 79 episodes.
She also had a featured role on The Michael J. Fox Show, which ran for one season in 2013-2014, opposite Fox, Wendell Pierce, Katie Finneran, Juliette Goglia, Brooke Shields and the late Anne Heche.
Brandt has also been featured on TV shows such as Saint X, Masters of Sex and Parenthood.
In addition to her TV roles, she has been seen in a number of films. They include the 2021 holiday comedy The Housewives of the North Pole, opposite RHOBH staple Kyle Richards; the 2020 Prime thriller Run Sweetheart Run and the 2012 hit Magic Mike.
