Brielle Biermann reveals it takes her 40 MINUTES to chew her soft breakfast after jaw surgery

Brielle Biermann revealed that she is continuing to struggle to eat as she recovers from double jaw surgery.

On Sunday, the 24-year-old Don’t Be Tardy alum shared an update on her progress following the procedure that she had at the end of August.

‘I’ve been getting a lot of questions on how I’m handling this jaw surgery process,’ the influencer – who boasts 1.6M social media followers – wrote on a selfie that she posted to her Instagram Story.

Brielle continued, ‘(THANK you for checking on me you’re all so sweet!) honestly..not eating solid foods, never knowing WHAT to eat, never feeling satisfied or full, not being able to go to dinners with my friends (which has really cut my social life in half) has been the hardest part of this surgery journey.

The brunette beauty, who was seen wearing a pink bucket hat and a black tank top, explained that she had not anticipated how difficult the recovery process would be for her.

‘i never realized how that would end up affecting me..i was more concerned on the pain to be in which was a breeeeeze compared to how mentally tough you have to be.’

Biermann went on to express optimism that her ability to eat normally would return in time for the holidays.

She said, ‘this sh*t sucks for sure but i know it will be all worth it! i can hopefully eat normally by thanksgiving which would be exactly 3 months and fully healed.’

Brielle shared another selfie in which she asked her followers for recommendations on which foods would be easiest for her to eat as she continues to recover.

‘If you guys have any suggestions on what i can eat pls send them my way,’ Biermann wrote.

The reality star recounted how long it took her to eat breakfast that morning but said that she was happy that she had made progress.

‘it took me 40 minutes to eat a pancake, eggs and undercooked hash browns today…but that’s progress and i’m happy about that.’

On September 7, Biermman announced that she underwent double jaw surgery aka a bi-maxillary osteotomy to correct her ‘TMJ and 9mm overjet overbite.’

‘I sucked my thumb [until] I was 9-ish, which made the roof of my mouth super narrow and my excessive overbite cause my teeth to have no contact whatsoever,’ she explained.

‘Have you ever thought about what it’s like to not be able to bite into pizza? Or [oh my god] trying to bite into an onion on a burger? Impossible for me. I had to use my tongue to help me chew and almost choked every time I ate. That lisp some of y’all complained about? Thank the overbite for that as well.’

Brielle was warned that if she didn’t get braces last November and have surgery she would ‘crack my back four teeth and never be able to eat again by the time I was 27.’

Biermann’s dental procedure was done by ‘incredible’ oral surgeons Amy Kuhmichel and Glenn Maron at Emory University Hospital Midtown in Atlanta back on August 23.

The KAB Cosmetics co-founder has been recovering with support from her family, private chef Tracey Bloom, and IV treatments at Total Body Therapy of Georgia.

After Brielle had her teeth wired shut, she shed 13lbs due to her liquid diet consisting of Gatorade Zero, soups, smoothies, and blended pasta dinners.

‘Eating [through] a syringe has really sucked. Now I’m on to baby spoons,’ Biermann – who was also having trouble sleeping – said at the time.

‘If you have any recipes for food that tastes good blended please let me know! I keep telling Tracey please don’t let me get hungry enough to where you blend a burger.

‘That sounds so gross, LOL, but I did blend mac n cheese and ravioli already and let me tell you, delicious. But never again. I think it was all the pain meds, LOL!’

The Connecticut-born brunette said she was ‘counting down the days’ until she can eat pasta and soft foods in four weeks and eventually pizza in three months.

‘I got [through] the first two weeks, which are supposed to be the hardest, easy breezy! I already feel more aligned and can breathe way better, especially at night when I would snore and have to breathe [through] my mouth.’

Meanwhile, Biermann’s famous mother Kim Zolciak-Biermann was relieved to admit via Instastory: ‘Why I’ve been a wreck. So proud of my baby. Such a trooper.’
