The Bachelor’s Brittany Hockley is a front-runner to win the show.
But it appears that Nick ‘The Honey Badger’ Cummins will need to jump through a few hurdles to win her family’s approval.
On Thursday night’s episode, the former Wallabies star came face-to-face with Brittany’s loved ones which made for a very tense hometown visit.

The pair returned to her native Port Maquirie, where Nick was also born, and Brittany’s dad Tony boldly declared that he has very little respect for footballers.
‘Obviously I don’t know you … I’d never heard your name,’ Tony told Nick during a one-on-one chat.
‘Then I heard that you’re a rugby player and I thought ‘oh well that’s not such a good thing’ – I don’t have a great deal of respect for football players in terms of their relationship with women.’

Nick’s face dropped as he processed the harsh reality of what Tony said.
‘He was all guns blazing right from the get-go,’ Nick said in a piece-to-camera.
Tony continued: ‘I’m not particularly worried about [the other girls]… I’ve got my daughter to worry about. She’s my primary concern. if you break her heart, I’m going to be the one to pick up the pieces.’
Nick assured Tony that he has the best intentions for his daughter.
‘The last thing I want to do is hurt anyone’s feelings… it’s not my intention,’ Nick said.
Tense: Brittany’s straight-shooting brother Dano also grilled Nick. ‘You’re a good looking young rooster, let’s be honest… why do you have to go on a show like this to find a girl?’ he asked
Tony then recalled Brittany’s previous heartbreak with her ‘scumbag’ ex.
‘He let her down majorly… I don’t think she’s ever gotten over it. The bloke was a scumbag. I would do him physical harm if I had the opportunity,’ Nick said firmly.
Moments later, Brittany’s straight-shooting brother Dano and sister Sheri also took turns grilling Nick.
‘You’re a good looking young rooster, let’s be honest… why do you have to go on a show like this to find a girl?’ asked Dano.

Nick replied: ‘You’re right. You go to a bar and girls come up and introduce themselves you don’t just want a girl that you find at a bar you want something special.’
Sheri then quizzed Nick about his history with Brittany’s love rival Cassandra Wood however he downplayed their past.
‘Everyone in Australia knows that you’ve been involved with Cassandra previously to the show,’ Sheri said.
Nick replied: ‘Cassandra, I spent some time with her outside…we went on a few dates but it was never a ‘thing’.’
