Brooklyn Beckham gives a nod to his dad David while celebrating Christmas away from family

Brooklyn Beckham gave a nod to his dad David on Boxing Day while celebrating the festive period apart from his family.

The budding chef, who is the eldest son of the football pro and fashion designer Victoria, sat down with a dram of Whisky – giving a nod to his dad, who is a partner of Haig Club Scotch Whisky.

It comes as the 23-year-old has spent the festive period away from his famous family, celebrating with new wife Nicola Peltz and her family.

Brooklyn shared a picture to his Instagram Stories on Monday of the tipple and his heavily tattooed hand.

His love for the distilled alcohol may come from his dad, who is a longtime partner in Haig Club whisky and has even released his own bottle with the brand.

This year was the first that Brooklyn didn’t spend the festive period with the rest of the Beckham brood, who were at home in London.

His siblings, 20-year-old Romeo, Cruz, 17 and Harper Seven, 11, all celebrated with their parents as they donned matching pyjamas.

And reaching out to her eldest son via social media, Victoria penned that she missed him while sharing a picture of the rest of the family.

It comes after heiress Nicola, 27, claimed ‘no family is perfect’ as she addressed claims of a feud with her mother-in-law in an October interview.

While Victoria did not appear in the pictures herself, her loved ones appeared in good spirits as they dressed in their matching attire.

She captioned the photos: ‘Dad keeping up the Beckham family tradition! We love and miss you @brooklynpeltzbeckham x Kisses @davidbeckham @romeobeckham @cruzbeckham.’

Meanwhile, Brooklyn shared a slew of loved up snaps with Nicola as they enjoyed a lavish meal together on Christmas Eve.

The budding chef was celebrating the season with the actress’ billionaire parents in Palm Beach, Florida.

In the snaps the couple, who wed in April, looked chic in matching black ensembles as they cuddled by a Christmas tree.

Nicola slipped into an off the shoulder jumpsuit which was adorned with fur trim while her beau opted for a smart suit.

The beauty styled her raven tresses poker straight while accenting her features with a stylish palette of make-up.

The following day, the actress shared snaps celebrating Christmas with her own family, including billionaire father Nelson, 80, his wife Claudia Heffner Peltz, 67, as well as her grandma Gina, 94.

The heiress is the one of 10 children, with Nelson marrying third wife and Nicola’s mother, former fashion model Claudia, for 35 years.

The couple reside in a 27-bedroom mansion in Bedford, New York, which is a favourite among celebrities such as Ryan Reynolds, Blake Lively and Bruce Willis.

They also own a sprawling $94million (£76million), 44,000-square-foot property in Palm Beach, Florida.

Back in October, Nicola once again addressed her rumoured ‘feud’ with mother-in-law Victoria in an interview with The Times.

The star, who previously confirmed that the rumours had begun after she didn’t wear Victoria’s wedding dress design when she tied the knot with Brooklyn, doubled down on the claims.

But she denied that the frosty tensions were a ‘feud’ and explained that the Victoria ‘s atelier simply hadn’t had time to make the dress, as she insisted: ‘No family is perfect.’

Nicola said: ‘It’s not a feud! I keep seeing everywhere that word, “feud, feud, feud!?” I mean, maybe they picked up on something? And now they’re labelling it feud?’

‘I think it all started, and I’ve said this before, because I didn’t end up wearing Victoria’s wedding dress, but the real truth is, I really, really wanted to wear it and I thought it was so beautiful that Brooklyn’s mom got to make that for me! And I was really excited to wear it! And I didn’t end up wearing it.’

She went on to say: ‘But I, truthfully, was really excited to wear her dress. It makes me sad when I read things that people say I was never planning on wearing it. That’s just not true.’

This is not the first time Nicola has dismissed the feud narrative and said that she believes it all started when she opted for Valentino couture instead of Victoria’s design.

She told Variety: ‘I was going to and I really wanted to, and then a few months down the line, she realized that her atelier couldn’t do it, so then I had to pick another dress.

‘She didn’t say you can’t wear it; I didn’t say I didn’t want to wear it. That’s where it started.’

Brooklyn, in a rather muted defence, added: ‘Everyone gets along, which is good.’

However, Victoria did manage to dress herself and other loved ones in designs from her eponymous fashion label -including BFF Eva Longoria, mother Jackie Adams and son Romeo’s then-girlfriend Mia Regan.

Elsewhere in the interview, Nicola gushed over her ‘legend’ father-in-law David Beckham, and described 11-year-old Harper as the ‘coolest little sister’.

She said Brooklyn is keen to have children straight away, but she wants to wait a few years, and that they both want a large brood.

Nicola seemingly quashed rumours of a feud between herself and her famous mother-in-law by attending the designer’s show last month.

When Nicola and Brooklyn attended Victoria’s Paris Fashion Week show on Friday September 30 – the invite was seen as an ‘olive branch.’

They arrived half an hour early to show their support, with ‘lots of hugs’ going on when they were all reunited for the first time since this summer, said a source in the room.

And video footage taken outside the event showed Victoria laughing with her son Brooklyn, while Nicola socialised with Cruz’s girlfriend Tana Holding and Harper Seven.

It comes after months of alleged frosty tension between the Peltzs and the Beckhams following reports that claimed Nicola and Victoria, 48, ‘can’t stand each other and don’t talk.’

The Beckhams refused to pay for Brooklyn’s US green card, a source claimed at the time and trouble had reportedly been brewing between their two houses.

Peltz, the daughter of New York billionaire Nelson Peltz, is believed to now live in Miami with her husband but fans have noticed that the couple have seemingly drifted from Posh and Becks since the wedding.

Amid reports of Nicola and Victoria’s epic fall-out, fans also questioned Victoria’s rather emotionless celebratory Instagram post following her son’s wedding – as she just wrote: ‘Congratulations Mr and Mrs Beckham. Welcome to the family x.’

Many were quick to notice Victoria didn’t use Brooklyn and Nicola’s official new joint surname – Peltz-Beckham – causing further speculation that the post was in fact veiling their growing tensions.

Other clues hinting towards the cold war between the Beckham women included when Nicola failed to post an image with Victoria at the glamorous reception – despite her caption being ‘family is everything to me.’

Since then, Nicola and Victoria have scarcely liked each other’s pictures on social media, despite the fact that they used to always show support for one another online.

Rumors were also intensified when fans noticed that Brooklyn was missing from his family vacation last week as Victoria and Beckham were seen vacationing on a yacht in Palm Beach, Florida.

Posh last liked one of Nicola’s posts on May 26 – and she didn’t like any of the images that Peltz-Beckham shared from her honeymoon with Brooklyn.

Nicola meanwhile hadn’t liked Posh posts about her 29th Vogue magazine cover, her wedding anniversary with David, or even on Harper’s 11th birthday. She also didn’t like a post wishing David a happy Father’s Day – despite the fact that the post featured her husband Brooklyn.

And the rift between mother and daughter-in-law has also allegedly rocked Brooklyn’s relationship with his parents, with one source telling Page Six: ‘They haven’t spoken to him much in the last few months.’

The Beckhams were apparently not happy after Nicola’s glitzy front cover close-up on British socialite magazine Tatler came out – published with the in-your-face headline ‘The new Mrs Beckham.’

It is a title Victoria has, of course, worn with pride since she wed footballer Becks in July 1999.

Brooklyn posted the stunning front cover of his adoring wife, with the caption: ‘Wow. I am so proud of you baby. You look absolutely gorgeous and I am so in love with you. Congratulations babe.’

The Instagram post was not liked by his mother, Victoria.

Opening up in the Tatler interview, fans believed that Nicola exposed sly digs at how David and Victoria had previously treated her husband Brooklyn, 23.

She told the magazine: ‘Brooklyn felt a lot of pressure to please people with his career and he didn’t love it.’

And Nicola also said that Brooklyn often turns to her 80-year-old father, Nelson Peltz, for business advice – rather than to his singer, fashion designer, multi-million pound business owner mother, or his legendary former footballer father.

She said: ‘Brooklyn is getting into very exciting things with his shows and also business things and it’s really sweet. I watch him call my dad and say, ‘What do you think about this?’ I love watching him learn from my dad.’

The icy online relationship between Nicola and Victoria is in marked contrast to the once-loving Instagram connection that used to exist between them.

Back in 2021, Nicola gushed that Victoria was her ‘role model’ and said ‘I love you so so much’ in a series of pictures she posted for Posh’s birthday.

And Victoria’s Instagram used to feature loving posts about 27-year-old Nicola, including the adorable caption when Brooklyn got down on one knee: ‘The MOST exciting news!!

‘We could not be happier that Brooklyn and Nicola are getting married! Wishing you so much love and a lifetime of happiness. We all love you both so much.’

A different insider, though, said talk of a schism is ‘silly,’ and that David and Victoria are due to meet up with the newlyweds in America soon – pointing out that they all recently went out for dinner in Venice.
