Caitlin Clark angrily confronted a referee on Wednesday night as the Fever lost without her.

The reigning WNBA Rookie of the Year was ruled out for at least two weeks on Monday as the Fever revealed she had a left quad strain.

But she was still heavily invested in the Fever’s matchup against the Mystics as she chided an official at the end of the first half.

As seen in a video from Yahoo! Sports, Clark went onto the floor to berate the referee about a call, as she stuck out her arm in apparent frustration.

The guard was also joined by her protestations by a Fever assistant, who also pleaded with the referee as the Fever went into the break down 44-40.

Ultimately, the Fever were beaten by their hosts 83-77 in their first game without the injured Clark.

Brittney Sykes led Washington with 21 points, while DeWanna Bonner had 21 for the Fever in Clark’s absence.

Indiana fell to 2-3 on the season with the loss.

Clark at least seemed to be in good spirits before the game, as she smiled while holding someone’s baby en route to the arena.

She was also seen snapping photos of her teammates before tip-off.

Clark had not missed a game since high school, and had appeared in the first four games of the season for the Fever.

So it came as a surprise earlier this week when the team announced she would miss a ‘minimum of two weeks,’ with updates to her condition to be provided ‘following re-evaluation.’

The timeline suggests that she will miss at least another three games, with the Fever’s trip to the Atlanta Dream on June 10 a potential return date.

Indiana will host the Connecticut Sun on Friday.
