California rapper EverybodyKnowsLo was slashed in a New York nightclub Tuesday.
The 31-year-old rapper, whose real name is Lowell Grissom, had just asked the DJ at the Anthony Night Club to play one of his songs and was descending the stairs around 1am when a stranger struck him in the face, according to the Daily News.
Grissom told police he did not recognize his alleged assailant and the attacker did not say anything to indicate why he was targeted.

The cuts went deep. EverybodyKnowsLo and his manager dashed from the Greenwich Village nightclub to a cab.
They headed to Beth Israel Hospital, where he received 50 stitches to seal two deep cuts, cops said.
It was also unclear what sharp object was used, but one of the cuts was about eight inches long, and a second cut was about two inches long.
So far no arrests have been made.
The rapper is known for his songs, ‘I Forget,’ and ‘Run It Up.’
