Zoë Foster Blake accidently captured a rather awkward moment at a book signing for her newly released kids book in Sydney on Thursday.

The book, Fart’s Favourite Smells, A Lift-the-Flap Book may have only been released on the first day of August, but it’s already in the bargain bin just three days later.

The 43-year-old magazine beauty editor turned skin care entrepreneur signed copies of her fun new book at Dymocks George Street and posed with a copy.

A reduction sticker was on the top, with the book being reduced from $16.99 to $12.99 – just two days after its release.

‘Did a lovely signing then signed a hot stack in at (sic) Dymocks George St in case you’re nearby,’ she wrote on her Instagram story, looking chic in a pale power suit.

The former journalist turned author and beauty entrepreneur has penned an impressive collection of books including the kids books Scaredy Bath and Battle Mum and the dating guide Textbook Romance.

Zoë, who is married to radio and TV star Hamish Blake, recently revealed her next career move after suffering a huge financial blow after the major shareholder of her Go-To range recorded a $100million loss.

The entrepreneur said in March she is now planning on writing another novel, which she shared on Instagram.

She wrote in the caption: ‘Tell me you’re writing a novel without telling me you’re writing a novel.’

‘I write first thing [in the morning] as soon as the kids are at school and use no social media beforehand.’

She also said she puts her phone on ‘do not disturb mode’, listens to binaural beats before starting and aims to get at least 40 minutes of writing done.

The career announcement comes after the major shareholder of her Go-To skincare range recorded a $100million loss.

She sold 51.5 per cent of the business she founded to beauty products conglomerate BWX for $89million in 2021, and had been expected to sell her remaining share to the same company for a similar amount.

However, the value of her share was written down by $30million in December after BWX recorded a staggering $336million loss during the 2021-22 financial year.

BWX revealed last month it bled another $100million in the first half of the current financial year with the company’s chief executive Rory Gration stepping down.

The latest loss is expected to again severely reduce the value of Foster-Blake’s 48.5 per cent share of Go-To, with BWK retaining the option of buying her stake, the Sydney Morning Herald reported.
