Carine Senior High School stabbing: Two students knifed and rushed to hospital

Two Perth high school students have been rushed to hospital after being stabbed. 

Police were called to Carine Senior High School, north of Perth, on Thursday following reports two students had been stabbed by another student. 

One female and one male have been taken to hospital.

t is understood their injuries are not life-threatening.

Police are on the scene and the school is in lockdown.

The school’s principal, Damian Shuttleworth, informed parents about the ‘serious incident’ involving two students in a letter, according to 7NEWS.

‘I want to reassure you that police attended, the situation was quickly contained, and there is no cause for ongoing concern,’ Mr Shuttleworth said.

‘We have prioritised support for staff and students following this incident.’
