Celebrity Apprentice star vows to wear MAGA hat to SoulCycle in defiance of anti-Trump boycott

Political analyst Erin Elmore told Fox News ‘Un-PC’ host Britt McHenry that she thinks Hollywood stars angry with Equinox and SoulCycle are being intolerant

Trump supporter and former Celebrity Apprentice contestant Erin Elmore has promised to wear a MAGA hat during her next visit to SoulCycle in defiance of model Chrissy Teigen and other celebrities’ call to boycott the fitness chain.

Tiegen is one of several celebs who have canceled their memberships in response to Stephen Ross, the majority owner of the company which owns SoulCycle and Equinox, organizing a fundraiser for President Donald Trump in the Hamptons.

Ross, who also owns the Miami Dolphins, hosted the $250,000 per ticket fundraiser for Trump’s re-election campaign on Friday.

Ahead of the fundraiser, Tiegen and comedian Billy Eichner have tried to rally their social media supporters against SoulCycle.

But Elmore took exception to Tiegen’s boycott campaign, telling Fox News ‘Un-PC’ host Britt McHenry that the backlash against the gyms is, ‘driving me crazy.’

‘I go to SoulCycle every day and I want to lose my mind,’ Elmore said. ‘They preach to me every day, “Inclusion, inclusion, inclusion. This is a place for everybody,” and then someone raises money for Trump, they’re like, ‘That’s it. I quit”.’

Teigen was so angered by Ross’s support for Trump ahead of the event, she told her Instagram followers they could come work out at her house instead of going to SoulCycle or Equinox.

‘A lot of my very cool, socially aware, progressive, awesome, amazing friends are members of Equinox or SoulCycle,’ the model mom said. ‘I just want to let you [know] that their owner is hosting a giant Trump fundraiser so f*** them. Cancel your membership today, you can come to my house and work out. Just think about it. If you’re fine with that, cool, go right ahead. But if you’re not, and I know a lot of you are not fine with that, then cancel.’

On Fox News, Elmore sarcastically referred to Teigen as ‘one of the great minds of our generation,’ adding an audible ‘eye roll’ and vowing to wear a MAGA hat during her next trip to the gym.

‘[Teigen] goes online and says, “We should ban SoulCycle. We should boycott SoulCycle.” On the wall it says inclusion for everybody. That only means for Democrats, clearly,’ Elmore continued. ‘I’m going and wearing my MAGA hat. I’m just warning everybody now. Talk about getting beat up or doxxed. I’m on my way to that train station because, beep beep, here it comes. I am wearing my MAGA hat, to soul cycle, on Monday. Who’s coming with me? Who’s coming with me?!’

‘Un-PC’ host McHenry encouraged Elmore to follow through with the proposed pro-Trump gesture.

‘Do it. I would love it just to see everyone lose their minds,’ the host said.

Trump’s Hamptons fundraiser sparked outrage in New York and West Hollywood where residents staged a protest outside an Equinox gym on Sunset Boulevard.

Dozens of Friday afternoon protesters also lined the route of Trump’s motorcade in the Hamptons, wielding signs that spelled out IMPEACHMENT and others that insinuated Trump is a Nazi and a white supremacist.

During the afternoon, Trump retweeted a tweet from Republican National Committee Chairwoman Ronna McDaniel boasting that the negative publicity helped him raise even more money at the fundraiser.

‘Thanks to the unhinged mob on the left, @RealDonaldTrump raised $12M today, $2M more than originally expected,’ McDaniel bragged. ‘The support for our President is unprecedented and growing!’

Elmore is an attorney who starred on season three of Celebrity Apprentice with Trump in 2005. She’s gone on to become a brand ambassador for the pro-Trump conservative non-profit known as Turning Point USA in addition to securing a recurring role as a Fox News commentator.

Despite efforts to minimize the boycott, the bad publicity for Equinox and SoulCycle appears to be having an effect.

On Thursday, Teigen tweeted a screenshot of an automated response to an Equinox members’ cancellation request that said the company is fielding a ‘high volume’ of related emails.

SoulCycle CEO Melanie Whelan tweeted a statement the same day saying the company believes in ‘diversity, inclusion, and equality,’ and doesn’t support its founder’s Trump fundraiser.

‘SoulCycle has nothing to do with the event and does not support it. … Mr. Ross is a passive investor and is not involved in the management of SoulCycle,’ Whelan said.

Backlash against Trump has grown in the aftermath of the deadly mass shootings in Dayton, Ohio, and El Paso, Texas that resulted in the deaths of at least 31 people.

Police said the confessed El Paso gunman admitted targeting Latinos who he accused of invading the country, echoing a theme championed by Trump and his GOP supporters.

On Wednesday, Immigration and Customs Enforcement agents raided seven Mississippi food processing plants where they arrested a record total of 680 suspected undocumented immigrants working there, some of whom have children that were separated from their parents.

Just over 300 of the accused illegal migrants who were arrested have been released back into the U.S., according to CNN.
