Celebs battle it out for Oasis tickets! BBC’s Nick Robinson leads the stars as he admits he’s under strict orders to secure seats for his family as tickets for the band’s comeback go on sale

Tickets for Oasis’ comeback gigs have officially went on sale on Saturday as celebs joined the general public in battling it out for a seat – with bookmakers putting the odds of landing one of the 1.4million tickets at just 14/1.

The band’s 15 UK shows in London, Manchester, Edinburgh and Cardiff go on general sale at 9am, while the sale for their launched an hour earlier in Ireland.

BBC’s Nick Robinson led the stars and admitted during his show on Radio 4 that he was under strict orders to bag tickets.

Saying: ‘I have very clear insurrections from my family that I have to join every other person we know to try and get tickets by logging on at 9 o’clock for Oasis’. 

The Slide Away stars announced their reunion tour on Tuesday – following 15 years of war between Noel and Liam Gallagher.

The 17-show run will go from July 4 to August 17, kicking off at Cardiff’s Principality Stadium before the brothers pack out Heaton Park in Manchester, Wembley in London, Murrayfield in Edinburgh and Croke Park in Dublin.

Last night the lucky few who managed to get a successful pre-sale code battled to see the 90s group as the first tickets went on sale at 7pm.

But within minutes of the permits going live they were being flogged for more than £10,000 by touts – with experts finding 80 tickets hoping to make a staggering £200,000 up for sale within 20 minutes of the presale.
