Channing Tatum talks marriage and kids as he gushes about acting with his fiancée Zoë Kravitz

Channing Tatum had nothing but high praise for his fiancée Zoë Kravitz at the premiere of her directorial debut Blink Twice.

‘To get to create something with someone that you love is probably one of the most gratifying things other than having a kid with somebody I think,’ Tatum, 44, told People when asked what the ‘best part’ about shooting a movie with his partner was.

‘It’s one of those… you truly are creating something from nothing and it’s just like creating a marriage or creating something where you’re like, everything that we are is going into this thing and you want to make it with people that you love,’ he added.

The lovebirds met when Zoë, 35, cast Channing in her directorial debut, which she also co-wrote.

‘She brought me a script, and it was definitely something that no one has ever thought of me for,’ Tatum told Jimmy Fallon on The Tonight Show last month.  ‘And I really was like, ‘Wow. Why do you want me for this?”

‘It was a long journey. She’s been writing it for like five, six years now,’ Tatum explained.

‘I had one meeting with her, and then she went away for like a year and a half to work on the thing,’ he continued. ‘

‘Then my producer came to me and was like, ‘Look, this thing’s getting really good. We might actually make this.’ And then I read it, and it was. It was really, really good,’

‘I’m just going to tell you, it’s a wild, wild movie… You’ll see me in a different way than you’ve ever seen me, that’s for sure,’ he teased.

Tatum plays Slater King in the thriller also starring Naomi Ackie, 31. She plays a cocktail waitress who has a crush on King. When they travel to his private island together, tensions rise and things go wrong.

Kravitz also gushed about getting to work with Tatum, saying: ‘I think going through something creative like this with anybody makes you closer and there’s so much trust there, adding that the experience made their relationship stronger.

‘Yeah, we got to work together and go through hard things together and support each other, and it was beautiful,’  the Big Little Lies star said.

During the speech she gave before the screening of her her movie, she heaped praise on the Magic Mike star.

‘You supported me in every way. From producing to performing to the pep talks to holding my head or my feet while I cried on the bathroom floor because I thought I f—– it all up.

‘Thank you for letting me be a complete OCD, psycho, control freak. Thank you for your patience,’ she said.

‘Making this film with you has been an awfully great adventure. Thank you for trusting me to female direct you.

‘It’s really very cool to get to make a movie but when you get to do it with the love of your life, its even cooler,’ she continued.
