Chris Hemsworth divides opinion as fans notice ‘dirty’ detail in Thor star’s intimate household photo shoot: ‘This really grossed me out’

Chris Hemsworth sparked debate among fans on Sunday after he shared photos of his prized wooden furniture on Instagram. 

The Thor star, 40, took to Instagram to promote the works of his furniture designer friend Lee Brennan, uploading several photos of the handmade objects sitting inside his $30million mansion in Broken Head, near Byron Bay. 

Chris, his friend and Chris’ wife Elsa Pataky were all seen posing casually next to the furniture, which included a large dining table, mirror and arched doorway frame. 

However fans couldn’t ignore the last picture in the gallery, which showed Chris leaning on the wall with his bare, dirt covered feet on full display. 

‘His feet really grossed me out!!!’ one user commented, as another added: ‘For goodness sake, look at your feet! [Facepalm emoji]’.

‘Clean your feet!’ someone else begged, as someone else commented: ‘Your feet are really dirty. Making the floor dirty again – go and wash.’

However others defended Chris’ dirty display, with one writing: ‘I love how dirty his feet are in the last snap’.

Others argued that dirty feet is the norm in Australia, and that foreign fans shouldn’t be surprised.

‘No Aussies wear shoes inside. Barefoot outside too. Norm,’ one wrote, as someone else agreed: ‘It’s an Aussie thing… Y’all will never know’.

Chris, Elsa and their three children are regularly seen without shoes while out and about in Byron Bay. 

The family have lived in the idyllic celebrity enclave for nine years, after they relocated from Los Angeles to Australia.

In March 2021, Elsa said the move to Byron Bay had been a blessing for their kids.

‘Byron has been beautiful,’ she told The Sydney Morning Herald. 

‘We made the right decision in 2014 to leave LA and come to Australia. It’s been great for the kids to be in nature, enjoy animals and go horse riding.’
