She recently sparked a bitter WAG War with Rebekah Vardy, after public accusing her of leaking stories about her to the press.
And Coleen Rooney appeared to be basking in getting away from the resulting furore this week, when she and her husband Wayne enjoyed a sunny break in Dubai.
Former Manchester United ace Wayne took to his Instagram on Sunday to share a collection of snapshots from the couple’s luxury getaway, which included a stay at the Mandarin Oriental Jumeira, where suites can cost as much as £4,400 per night.

In the snaps, the lovebirds were seen enjoying some time on the golden sands of a beach, where mother-of-four Coleen donned a flattering black bikini.
Looking tanned and toned, she sported a pair of oversized sunglasses as she shared a hug with her husband, who wore a black T-shirt with blue shorts.
As well as cosying up over a romantic meal, the pair were also shown posing together in their hotel’s ornate and expansive lobby.

Captioning the images, the sportsman wrote: ‘Nice break in Dubai with @coleen_rooney. Thanks to all the staff at @mo_jumeira for looking after us.’
It comes after the pregnant Rebekah Vardy was explosively accused by Coleen of leaking stories about her to The Sun newspaper last month, which Rebekah fiercely denied – leading to the WAG war which has captivated the nation.
At the time, it was revealed by sources close to Rebekah that leading law firm Kingsley Napley has sent Coleen a letter on her behalf demanding she provides them with the evidence she has against Becky so that she can complete her investigation.
Becky has called in a forensic team to analyse her Instagram account and identify the mole who sold fake stories to The Sun from Coleen’s Instagram account.

Coleen was given the nickname ‘Wagatha Christie’ when it was revealed that she had been leaking fake stories on her private Instagram to see who was passing the information to the press
Coleen wrote on October 9: ‘For a few years now someone who I trusted to follow me on my personal Instagram account has been consistently informing The Sun newspaper of my private posts and stories.
‘There has been so much information given to them about me, my friends and my family – all without my permission or knowledge.
‘After a long time of trying to figure out who it could be, for various reasons, I had a suspicion. To try and prove this, I came up with an idea, I blocked everyone from viewing Instagram except ONE account. ‘

She continued: ‘(Those on my private account must have been wondering why I haven’t had stories on there for a while).
‘Over the past five months I have posted a series of false stories to see if they made their way into the Sun newspaper.
‘And you know what, they did! The story about gender selection in Mexico, the story about returning to TV and then the latest story about the basement flood in my new house.
‘It’s been tough keeping it to myself and not making any comment at all, especially when the stories have been leaked, however I had to. Now I know for certain which account/individual it’s come from.
The statement: Coleen made these claims on Instagram on October 9 after discovering she had been betrayed by someone close to her and she concluded that it was Rebekah’s account
‘I don’t need the money’: Rebekah denied all accusations against her minutes after the post and said she had nothing to gain and had no financial motivation
‘I have saved and screenshotted all the original stories which clearly show just one person has viewed them. It’s……… Rebekah Vardy’s account.’
She also wrote: ‘This has been a burden in my life for a few years now and finally I have got to the bottom of it……’
Coleen’s recent trip to Dubai, which appears to have been without their four sons, comes weeks after Coleen shared the first snap of them together in three months.
The WAG took to Twitter to share a black and white snap with the footballer as they enjoyed a double date with pals.

Hinting at Wayne’s absence from her social media in recent weeks, Coleen captioned the post: ‘It’s been a while… Great to be back to weekday date nights and meeting up with friends.’
Of course Coleen could also be referencing that this is her first date night with Wayne since her drama with fellow WAG Rebekah Vardy, which saw her accuse the wife of Jamie Vardy of selling fake stories about her to the press.
Regardless, the couple were the picture of happiness as they enjoyed the outing together with their friends.
Coleen and Wayne were last spotted together on 28th August, as they arrived at Washington Airport to jet back to the UK, just a week after the sporting star had been spotted entering a hotel with a mystery woman.

Wayne hit back at the reports at the time after he was spotted with his arms around a woman in a nightclub in Vancouver, Canada.
Responding to the reports on Twitter, he wrote: ‘Nothing happened between me and any girl on that night in Vancouver. I did not enter the lift alone with the girl pictured in the hotel foyer.
‘The girl pictured in the club was simply one of many who innocently asked for photographs and pictures.’
It was long thought that Coleen wanted to move back to the UK to be closer to her family, but Wayne still completed his contract for DC United last month, and will now remain in England permanently as an assistant coach for Derby County.
Coleen and Wayne’s last joint social media post came on 25th July, as they posed for a loved-up snap during the summer holiday with their family.
The couple last appeared in a family snap together on 24th June, as they enjoyed a family outing in Washington together.
