Indianapolis Colts tight end Andrew Ogletree reportedly remains in jail after he was arrested on Friday on charges of domestic battery after allegedly ‘body slamming’ the victim.

The 25-year-old faces two felony counts of ‘domestic battery resulting in moderate bodily injury’ and ‘domestic battery committed in physical presence of a child less than 16, knowing child present and might be able to see/hear’.

Ogletree was present at practice on Friday before being booked into Hendricks County Jail in Danville, Indiana.

Reports claim that, as of Friday night, he was still being held without bond.

Ogletree is reportedly accused of ‘body slamming’ the victim on to the ground, with police indicating that the dispute broke out after the tight end’s phone was broken.

Fox 59 reports that, according to court documents, Ogletree told police the victim attempted to hit him before he pushed them to the ground. The victim is said to have confirmed they tried to smack him.

The Avon Police Department said, according to Fox 59, that officers were sent to a house following a report of physical violence between two adults on December 26.

Ogletree, it’s said, was detained at the scene, while a victim was taken to the hospital to have their injuries examined.

Two days later, on December 28, a warrant was issued for Ogletree’s arrest, with the tight end turning himself in on Friday.

Ogletree, who played college football at Findlay and Youngstown State, was drafted in the sixth round of the 2022 NFL draft by Indianapolis.

The tight end missed his entire rookie season after tearing his ACL during training camp.

He made his NFL debut this season and has appeared in 10 games for the Colts, amassing nine receptions for 147 yards and two touchdowns.

Indianapolis takes on the Las Vegas Raiders on Sunday.
