‘Happy 18th birthday coco! I’m so proud to be your mom,’ Cox began in the caption of her Instagram post.

‘You are courageous, smart, deep, funny, unique and beautiful with the biggest heart. I can’t wait to see what’s next. I love you x,’ Cox concluded.

It seems that her child is home from college for the summer.

Courteney teased last year on the Ellen that Coco will be heading to college, but not close to home.

‘She’s going to go as far away from L.A. as she can get. We are so close, but she just can’t wait to go away and live on her own. It’s sad,’ Cox said.

She added that Coco is, ‘doing such a good job at prepping me for this,’ as she gets ready to become an ’empty-nester.’

The actress dates Johnny McDaid.

Last year Courteney opened up about their relationship in an exclusive interview with DailyMail.com.

Cox and the Snow Patrol singer started dating in late 2013 and they announced their engagement in June 2014.

The 46-year-old singer from Northern Ireland joked that Cox ‘hasn’t got a clue’ about what he’s saying a lot of times.

‘Well my partner is American and she hasn’t understood a word I’ve said in eight years. She hasn’t got a clue!’ he joked.

While he typically split his time between the U.S. and U.K., they were separated during the COVID-19 lockdown in different countries.

‘We were apart as many people were apart from their families and loved ones, but we were able to stay as connected as we could and both of us dived into being creative,’ McDaid said.

‘She made her show and a new product line, and I made Bad Habits with Ed [Sheeran], so we were able to stay really productive even if it was tough being apart – and it was tough, but we don’t have the toughest lives in the world – we’re so lucky,’ he added.
