Courtney Stodden celebrates Independence Day in a stars-and-stripes bikini

Courtney Stodden showed off their patriotic style on Sunday as they celebrated the Fourth Of July in an American flag bikini.

The 26-year-old social media star, marked the holiday on Instagram and showed off their relaxing day at the pool with their 315K followers.

In addition to their stars-and-stripes string halter bikini, they also blocked out the sun with an enormous floppy tan hat that mostly obscured their face.

Stars and stripes: Courtney Stodden, 26, showed off their curves in a red, white and blue bikini to celebrate the Fourth of July on Sunday. ‘Celebrating America, an independent woman (referring to America not myself to everyone confused and hating),’ they wrote

Courtney, who recently came out as non-binary and uses they/them pronouns, clutched a dark pair of sunglasses and wore their blond locks down across their chest.

‘Celebrating American, an independent woman,’ they captioned her post.

The former reality star ensured their fans wouldn’t misgender them by adding, ‘Referring to America not myself to everyone confused and hating,’ along with a long written-out laugh.

They appeared to be wearing the massive diamond ring they received late in May when their fiancé Chris Sheng proposed.

It wasn’t clear if the Couples Therapy star’s fiancé Chris was present for their Fourth of July celebrations.

The occasional singer opened up to Us Weekly about their on–off partner in an interview from March of 2020.

‘I’ve been dating the same guy for three years, Chris [Sheng],’ they said.

‘It isn’t easy to believe in love. It’s hard for me to completely open up to him and trust,’ they added. ‘I’m constantly pulling back and criticizing everything about everything.’

Earlier in May, Courtney revealed bullying tweets sent by model Chrissy Teigen, 35, and claimed that she would also ‘privately DM me and tell me to kill myself.’

Among the tweets was one urging the former spouse of Doug Hutchison to take a ‘dirt nap,’ a euphemism for dying.

Although the tweets dated back to 2011, Chrissy issued an apology on Twitter on May 12 and has since been silent across all of her social media platforms.

‘I’m mortified and sad at who I used to be. I was an insecure, attention seeking troll. I am ashamed and completely embarrassed at my behavior but that is nothing compared to how I made Courtney feel,’ she tweeted.

‘These were not my only mistakes and surely won’t be my last as hard as I try but god I will try!!’

The wife of John Legend continued: ‘I have tried to connect with Courtney privately but since I publicly fueled all this, I want to also publicly apologize. I’m so sorry, Courtney. I hope you can heal now knowing how deeply sorry I am.’

Courtney rose to prominence in 2011 (around when Chrissy’s text messages were sent) when they married The Green Mile actor Doug Hutchison, who was 51 at the time.

The two met virtually when Courtney signed up for Doug’s online acting class, and they struck up a multi-month relationship, reportedly before the veteran actor realized that his pupil was underage.

He offered to end the relationship after consulting with their parents, but they allowed the two to continue.

The couple appeared on reality shows including Couples Therapy and Celebrity Big Brother before separating in 2013, only to reunite the following year.

Courtney and Doug separated for good in 2017, but it wasn’t until last year that their divorce was finalized.
