Cristiano Ronaldo ‘could be replaced by EDEN HAZARD or £62m flop Luka Jovic

Cristiano Ronaldo ‘could be replaced by EDEN HAZARD or £62m flop Luka Jovic as Juventus put Real Madrid duo on their shortlist’ following star’s sensational Man United move

  • Juve have identified Luka Jovic as a potential replacement for Cristiano Ronaldo
  • It comes after they agreed to see Ronaldo to Manchester United for £12.8million
  • Ronaldo scored 29 Serie A goals last season despite Juve’s fourth-place finish
  • Therefore, Jovic will have a lot to live up to after failing to perform at Real Madrid

Juventus have identified both Luka Jovic and Eden Hazard as potential replacements for Cristiano Ronaldo after they agreed to sell the striker to Manchester United for £12.8million.

United announced on Friday afternoon that Ronaldo would be returning to the club where he previously won three Premier League titles, one Champions League, two League Cups and one FA Cup.

As a result, Juventus will look to fill the void left by the striker – who scored 29 Serie A goals last season despite a disappointing fourth-place finish.

The Italian giants are also linked with a move for Eden Hazard

According to AS, Juventus has registered an interest in Jovic, while Marca have revealed that the Italian giants are also keeping tabs on Hazard.

Jovic – who joined the Galacticos in the summer of 2019 for £62m – has struggled to adapt to life at the Spanish giants.

He only made eight starts – totalling 806 minutes of action – during the 2019-20 campaign.

As a result, Jovic agreed to re-join Eintracht Frankfurt on a loan deal for the end of the 2020-2021 season.

Looking ahead to the 2021-2022 season, it is unlikely that Jovic will get into the Real Madrid starting XI.

The striker is not even among Carlo Ancelotti’s first choice substitutes for the coming season.

Therefore, Real are said to be open to selling the 23-year-old for around £30m this summer.

Should a deal for through, Jovic will be playing alongside the likes of Paulo Dybala and Alvaro Morata – increasing his changes of rejuvenating his career.

Juventus may, however, look to sign Hazard instead as Real Madrid are also opening to selling him for £51m this summer.

Hazard has struggled for form since joining Real from Chelsea in 2019 for an initial £88million.

The 30-year-old managed just 21 appearances for the Spanish giants last season in an injury-hit season.

Therefore, he could look to move to Juventus for a fresh start under Massimiliano Allegri.
