Rapper DaBaby is facing some controversy after a member of his security team knocked out a female fan at a concert on Saturday night.

The 27 year old rapper (real name Jonathan Lyndale Kirk) went out into the crowd, as he typically does, during his set at the Free Water Block Party in New Orleans.

Video obtained by TMZ from the Saturday night concert shows an unnamed security guard punching a female fan numerous times and knocking her out after she repeatedly kept touching him.

The altercation took place about 30 minutes into DaBaby’s set at the Free Water Block Party when he went into the crowd, as he typically does at his shows. 

A female fan was seen getting very close to the rapper and talking to him, but he quickly pushes her away.

The female fan persisted and got close to him again, reaching over the rapper’s very large security guard, which lead him to punch her several times, knocking her out on the ground.

The woman was out cold on the ground for a minute before her friends managed to get her up and out of the venue.

The show was shut down after the altercation, but the police weren’t called after the incident.

DaBaby has yet to comment publicly on the altercation on his social media platforms as of yet.

DaBaby was first known as Baby Jesus and he started releasing numerous mixtapes back in 2015.

He dropped his first studio album, Baby on Baby, through Interscope in March, which peaked at #7 on the US album charts and was certified gold.

The rapper then released his second studio album, Kirk, on Friday, which he was supporting at his show on Saturday.

This isn’t the first time the rapper has faced controversy, after an an incident in Huntsville, North Carolina.

The rapper was involved in an altercation with a 19 year old man who was shot in the abdomen and later died.

The rapper claimed he was acting in self-defense and the charge was dropped though he plead guilty to carrying a concealed weapon.
