The Wolverine star, 55, rocked a cool casual look in a navy jumper paired with black Under Armour exercise pants and blue sneakers.
He wore a black jacket tied around his waist and accessorised with a matching baseball cap and prescription glasses tucked into his shirt collar.
The Sydney-born star carried a water bottle in one hand and was seen putting on a black face mask as he entered a local pastry shop with Ava.
Hugh looked engrossed in conversation with his teenage daughter and was seen laughing it up with her as they made their way down the street.

The outing looked to be a well-deserved break for Hugh, after he called time on his relationship with Deborra-Lee Furness, his wife of 27 years, last year.
Hugh shares two adopted children – son Oscar, 23, and daughter Ava, 18 – with his former wife Deborra-Lee.
The pair announced their shock split in September after 27 years of marriage, telling fans they separated ‘to pursue our individual growth’.

The couple had tied the knot in 1996 after crossing paths on a movie set in 1995.
An insider previously told ET that there ‘is no animosity’ between the exes.
‘Hugh and Deborra-Lee are both on different pages and in separate chapters of their lives,’ they said.
‘They felt like it was time to divorce, but they still maintain a happy and cordial friendship.’
