In the post Dame Deborah, who is also mother to son Hugo, 14, wrote: ‘I’m so honoured with the help of @worldofrosesuk and @theharknessrosecompany to announce the release of the Dame Deborah James Rose!’

‘I actually cried when they asked me if they could name a rose after me. The new rose is available to pre-order now for delivery in Autumn 2022 (link in stories and below).

‘Even better, £2.50 from the sale of each rose will be paid to the @Bowelbabefund. There is of course a limited supply of Rose plants for sale! I just can’t wait for my family to plant them everywhere this Autumn.

‘Earlier this week I had the pleasure of being presented with a bouquet of my new stunning roses and hear all about the work that has gone into them.

‘The #DameDeborahJamesRose will be introduced at #RHSChelsea Flower Show on the @theharknessrosecompany show stand on Monday 23rd May.

‘Roses are my favourite flowers and I hope this one will brighten the smiles for all! What also brings me so much joy is to know that the rose will also be incorporated into the company’s new Community Gardening Scheme which aims to get more vulnerable groups and people from underrepresented backgrounds involved in gardening. Harkness have pledged to give away 1,000 Dame Deborah James Roses to Community Gardens across the UK this autumn time.

‘This new floribunda produces masses of white blooms with a subtle ‘ballet slipper pink’ centre! The rose is repeat flowering from early June to the first frosts, with its blooms set out perfectly against the dark green, glossy foliage.

‘This variety is suitable for beds, borders or large patio containers. It is an absolutely superb variety that is easy to grow and will perform well in all gardens.

Although the clothing range will be released at a later date, from today shoppers are able to buy a £15 Rebellious Hope t-shirt, with a minimum of £7.08 per t-shirt paid directly to her Bowelbabe Fund to benefit Cancer Research UK.

‘I cannot tell you guys how this partnership has kept me going through my hospital stays and taken me away from cancer,’ she wrote.

‘For years, I always talked about “Dressing up to make you feel better” and over recent months all the ups and downs, being in and out of hospital, dressing up in nice clothes and popping on some Lippy has made a difference to my journey.’

To promote the collection, Deborah donned one of her charity t-shirts with a frothy pink midi skirt. In one photo she embraces her Eloise, who she shares with her husband Sebastien.

She wrote: ‘I’m so excited to finally be able to share (at least part) of a project I’ve been working on for several months now. Together with the @inthestyle team I’ve been creating and designing a collection of beautiful clothes to hopefully make us all look good and feel great!!!

‘The main collection isnt quite ready yet, although some of you will have noticed recently I’ve been sporting a whole host of beautiful floral dresses – which I can confirm were worn for my visit from Prince William!

‘Today though, as a sneak taster I wanted to share something really special….. As you all know I’ve always had a quote close to my heart… ‘Rebellious Hope’ so @inthestyle have kindly agreed with me to release a limited edition exclusive T-shirt in aid of @bowelbabefund which is available to order via the @inthestyle app NOW, with 100% of profits (minimum of £7.08 per t-shirt) from the sale of each one will be paid directly to Bowelbabe Fund for Cancer Research UK.

‘I am so thankful to the wonderful @inthestyle team and each of you for your support so far! I have added a link to the tshirt on my stories (and below)

‘I can’t wait (or sadly I will be leaving it up to my family and ITS) to share the rest of the collection, which I’m also excited to say that the plan for that collection is that all profits will be in aid of the Bowelbabe Fund for Cancer Research UK. Know that I’ve have had so much fun designing and curating everything and I hope you have just as much wearing it all x.’
