Dancing With The Stars Australia AXED? Grant Denyer and Amanda Keller ‘set to be without a job’

Has Dancing With The Stars Australia been AXED? Hosts Grant Denyer and Amanda Keller ‘set to be without a job as Channel 10 cancels the show’

Channel 10’s Dancing With The Stars Australia has reportedly been given the axe.

It has been claimed that judge Tristan MacManus’ move to the Studio 10 couch alongside Sarah Harris in September was a huge indicator that the dance series had seen its last days.

‘Dancing with the Stars is gone. [It] won’t be back and that is why Tristan is on Studio 10, as he has a network contract and they can’t just get rid of him,’ a source told New Idea

Dancing With The Stars Australia aired initially from 2004 to 2015 on Channel Seven before moving to Network 10 in 2019 with new hosts Grant Denyer and Amanda Keller.

The show’s reported axe was the reason why Channel 10 were supposedly keen to make judge Sharna Burgess the new Bachelorette this season.

The source added: ‘Despite their efforts, she said no way. Sharna is a professional’.

However, in a recent interview with WHO Magazine, current Bachelorette Elly Miles denied rumours that Sharna was Channel 10’s first choice for the dating series.

The 26-year-old explained that the network ‘definitely wanted sisters’.

‘The producers made it clear to us that they were looking at other options, too, but they definitely wanted sisters,’ she told the magazine.
