Dane Cook gives his fans an update on a potential series based on his 2006 film Employee Of The Month: ‘We have a lot of love and support’

Dane Cook gave his fans an update about a potential series based on his 2006 film Employee Of The Month on his X account on Tuesday.

The 51-year-old comedian revealed that he was hopeful about the future of the project, which he had been working on for an undisclosed amount of time.

The performer, who recently tied the knot during an intimate wedding ceremony in Hawaii, also stated that he was grateful for the support of the feature’s longtime fans.

Cook began by stating that, although he could not confirm that the project had been greenlit, he was optimistic about its future.

‘We got our notes back from Lionsgate, there is a possible path forward for Employee of the Month as a new streaming series. Nothing is guaranteed YET but I will keep you all filled in as we move forward,’ he wrote.

The comedian went on to state that he was amazed about the dedication of the movie’s fanbase and that he would like to appear in the project if it goes forward.

He wrote: ‘EOTM has become such a beloved film. I can’t believe how much response I get from around the world. People quote it every day to me. I loved playing Zack and hope to bring him back!’

Cook then opened up about the continued success of the comedy film, which has not waned in popularity in the years since its initial release.

‘I had no idea that behind The Expendables Employee of the Month is the most successful film (post box office) for Lionsgate. I can’t tell you the numbers but phew the film has crushed it for 15 years of rental, sales, streaming leases,’ he wrote.

The actor concluded by stating that he was looking forward to seeing how the project turned out.

‘Team EOTM hope to bring Super Club back in a major way. We have a lot of love and support so we shall see! With a little luck Zack might just be throwing his heelys back on and gearing up for a fastest checkout competition,’ he wrote.

The performer concluded by humorously writing that he was looking to ‘expand the EOTMU’ with the show.
