Titans running back Derrick Henry is used to smashing through opponents at full steam in the NFL.

But on Sunday he showed the finesse and poise of a seasoned quarterback as he threw the ball for a touchdown.

With Tennessee tied at 0-0 at the start of the second quarter against the Seattle Seahawks, Henry appeared to line up ready for one of his trademark runs.

But the 6ft 3ins, 247lbs running back collected the ball, took a few steps to his right and shaped to throw.

Catching the Seahawks defense completely off guard, Henry threw a perfect pass over them towards the end zone.

Waiting with both arms wide open was tight end Chigoziem Okonkwo, who graciously caught the ball for the touchdown.

It means Henry has completed seven of his nine passes in his career for 37 yards and four touchdowns.

He also, awkwardly, has the same amount of touchdown passes as Titans quarterback Ryan Tannehill this season.

Henry chalked up 58 rushing yards off eight attempts in the first half in Nashville.
