‘I have become even more disciplined about a few things with my skin since the pandemic and isolation,’ Dr Sturm told the Australian beauty platform, Mecca.

‘I use my Face Mask every day now and am dry brushing daily. I like to peel rather than wash my Face Mask off, which makes it work double duty as an exfoliant, facial massage and circulatory stimulant.’

The skin expert also uses Anti-Pollution drops to protect against the damage from blue screens, as well as broad spectrum SPF.

The Dr Barbara Sturm Deep Hydrating Face Mask ($171) features ingredients like aloe vera and chamomile that soothe and protect, as well as antioxidants to make your complexion soft and supple.

Dry body brushing is the practice of using a body brush to gently massage your skin in an upward motion.

It is said to brighten the skin and improve the absorption of your moisturiser and serums.

When it comes to her other health secrets, Dr Sturm (pictured) said she likes to get 'adequate' sleep of around eight hours, as well as a healthy diet full of healthy fats and fruit and veg

‘I avoid excess alcohol, sugar, flour fried and processed foods, and instead eat anti-inflammatory foods like avocados, salmon, olive oil, tomatoes, nuts, dark berries and green tea,’ Dr Sturm said.

She also limits alcohol, avoids heavy meals close to bedtime and gets into bed early, often with her five-year-old.

Finally, Dr Sturm keeps the bedroom dark and completely noise and tech-free, and she said this helps hugely with making sure she gets enough sleep each night.
