Doctor Who fans are left in hysterics as villain Susan Triad recreates Theresa May’s iconic viral dance ahead of shocking twist

Doctor Who fans made a hilarious parallel between Susan ‘Sue’ Triad and Theresa May during Saturday’s episode of the sci-fi series.

A scene in the latest episode, titled The Legend Of Ruby Sunday saw Sue, played by Susan Twist, take to the stage and perform a whacky jig.

Fans were quick to note its similarity to Theresa’s robotic dancing back in 2018, on stage for her keynote speech at the Conservative Party annual conference.

The seventh episode of the fourteenth series saw tech billionaire Sue plan to release free software to the world through her company Triad Technology, but in a shocking twist it was revealed that the villainous Sutekh was the true mastermind.

Tickled fans ran to X, formerly Twitter, and wrote: ‘#DoctorWho #DoctorWhoSpoilers I know a reference when I see it!’;

‘Just watched Doctor Who. Theresa May was in it!’

‘You know, I always thought it was weird Theresa May seemed to act in a way that contradicted what a reasonable person would do, so it all makes sense now: she was being controlled by Sutekh! #DoctorWho’;

Iconic villain Sutekh was last seen in series 13 of the original series back in 1975, and he made a shock return in Saturday’s cliffhanger.

The self-described ‘god of all gods’ originally faced off against Fourth Doctor (Tom Baker) and his companion Sarah Jane Smith (Elisabeth Sladen).

As for Sue, The Doctor and UNIT both suspected this mysterious woman might actually be The Doctor’s granddaughter Susan, but it turned out to be a giant trap. However, it was confirmed she was in some way related to Sutekh.
