Actor and musician John Schneider, who starred in The Dukes of Hazzard, took to social media this week to reveal his late wife Alicia’s ashes were stolen.

In a Facebook post, the 64-year-old star shared a photo of a small urn and wrote to his followers, ‘This is one of the things that was stolen from me out of my house. Alicia’s ashes. Attached to it was a tiny urn with ashes… A silver cross with Smile and Alicia on it.’

He began the post by stating: ‘I am truly sorry because I never thought I would be forced to stoop this low.’

Schneider, whose wife died from breast cancer in February 2023, added, ‘And my wedding ring for crying out loud.

‘I wonder if they’re going to give away my wedding ring and cross anytime soon? Truly disgusted.’

Schneider and Alicia, whose maiden name was Allain, wed in 2019.

Also in the Facebook post, shared on July 14, John wrote, ‘In case you’re wondering, and in case, I wasn’t clear enough … That is an urn.

‘A very special urn that was missing the last time I went to the house. Also missing was my wedding ring, my cross and a little [urn] Alicia’s aunt gave me that I used to wear around my neck.’

Schneider previously shared that a replica General Lee car gifted to him by his late wife had been stolen.

In a July 15 Facebook post, he said, ‘I want to personally thank everyone who took part in this campaign to stop these people from selling off my belongings,’ indicating that he’d stopped the thief from pawning his possessions.

It was added, ‘Pretty sure the war isn’t completely over yet… but we damn sure won this battle! Proof that people United can do anything.’

The post continued, ‘I’m going to try to stay away from this unless they rattle my cage again, but wanted to thank you immediately!

‘United, we stand… Divided we fall. This proves we are indeed United.’

Back in June, the actor revealed that he found love again and said he ‘wouldn’t be here’ if it weren’t for his new girlfriend.

During an appearance on Grace Begins, The Podcast, he confessed that he was ‘ready to give it all up’ and found ‘the very notion of dating’ to be ‘repulsive’ following the ‘really rough’ loss of his wife — but that changed when he met his new love.

‘The last year has been pretty wonderful. But the year before that was really rough,’ he shared with hosts Cathy Cardenas and Catherine Sutherland.

‘But God pays attention. God sent a widower to a widow.’
