Easter tragedy as a family is wiped out in a highway car crash

Easter tragedy as a mum, dad and a young child are killed when their car swerved off the highway and hit a tree

  • A young family has been tragically killed after a single vehicle crash on Saturday 
  • The Honda Accord left the road 13km south of Ulladulla, NSW about 4.30am 
  • NSW Police are on the scene and investigating what led to the accident 

A mum, dad and a young child have been killed in a horrific Easter Saturday highway crash that left just one survivor.

The Honda Accord swerved off the Princes Highway 13km south of Ulladulla on the NSW south coast about 4.30am and smashed into a tree.

The female driver died at the scene alongside two passengers, a man and a young child, by the time paramedics arrived.

An adult male passenger was airlifted to hospital with serious injuries. His condition is not yet known. 

Officers from South Coast Police District are examining the scene and an investigation is underway as to how the car left the road and collided with the tree. 

Some roads have been closed in the area and motorist can expect delays. 

A report will be prepared for the coroner.
