This hilarious footage captures the moment a baby elephant could not stay on all four legs and is filmed sliding down a hill.

Namped, a one-year-old elephant, was out for her morning stroll when two people filmed their own ride from a male adult bull.

As the adult and the baby elephant walk down a steep slope in the mountains of Chaing Mai, Thailand, Namped could no longer stay on her feet and is seen taking a tumble.

Namped begins slipping and sliding around as she tried desperately to stay upright on the wet grass – but is then filmed slipping over trunk first.

Two people riding the adult male bull are heard giggling as Namped rolls around on the grassy mound, trying to get back onto all fours.

The incident was filmed at the Maesa Elephant camp.

A manager at the elephant sanctuary, Kusala Arkarn, said: ‘This was Namped’s daily exercise, taking a walk through the forest.

‘She was a little bit wobbly that day and fell over. She’s lovely and sweet and she was fine.

‘As she gets older she’ll become stronger and won’t be falling around like that any more.’
