Erling Haaland has offered a coy response after being asked about his future at Manchester City.

The Norwegian striker played a crucial role in City winning the Premier League title in 2023-24 – which was their fourth consecutive top-flight trophy.

Haaland, since joining City in 2022, has picked up back-to-back golden boot awards in the English top-flight after continuing to impress for Pep Guardiola’s outfit.

However, despite his stunning form infront of goal, Haaland refused to admit whether there were ongoing negotiations to renew his deal at the Etihad.

Speaking to Norwegian outlet TV2, Haaland said: ‘I’ve had two fantastic years, and have three years left. That’s really all I can say’.

When pressed further as to whether talks were ongoing, he said: ‘That’s all I can say, what I just said’.

The news comes shortly after team-mate Kevin De Bruyne admitted he could make a stunning move to Saudi Arabia in the summer.

In an interview with Dutch outlet HLN, De Bruyne admitted: ‘For Michele, an exotic adventure is okay. These are also conversations that we are increasingly having as a family.

‘At my age you have to be open to everything. You’re talking about incredible amounts of money in what may be the end of my career. Sometimes you have to think about that.

‘If I play there for two years, I will be able to earn an incredible amount of money. Before that I had to play football for 15 years. I may not even reach that amount yet.

‘Then you have to think about what that could mean next. But at the moment I haven’t had to think about that yet.

‘I still have one year left on my contract, so I have to think about what could happen. My eldest is now eight years old and knows nothing but England.

‘He also asks how long I will play for City. Once the moment comes, we will have to deal with it in a certain way.’

In February, Mail Sport revealed the 32-year-old is seen as the player to further lift the division’s appeal and that officials were intensifying their efforts to tempt him away from the Premier League.

City boss Pep Guardiola previously said that his wish is for De Bruyne, who joined City from Wolfsburg for £54million in 2015, to finish his career at the Etihad Stadium.

‘I’d love him to stay but I don’t know,’ Guardiola said earlier this year.

‘I heard some links but I don’t know if there’s an offer, I don’t know if Saudi Arabia wants him. I would love him to stay until the end of his career, but everyone is everyone.’
