Former NBA basketball player Glen ‘Big Baby’ Davis is being formally charged for beating up a man outside a Los Angeles nightclub earlier this year, according to a new report.

The 32-year-old, who last played for the Los Angeles Clippers, is set to face charges of felony assault for the fight outside the West Hollywood club Factory on April 8, TMZ Sports reports.

A representative with the L.A. County District Attorney’s office told the outlet that Davis will likely face a felony charge of assault with force likely to cause great bodily injury – which could sent him to prison for up to seven years if convicted.

Back in April, TMZ reported that the male victim confronted the basketball star for ‘driving erratically’ outside the club.

Davis then allegedly exited his car, attacked the man with a ‘deadly weapon’ and slammed him onto the concrete before fleeing the scene.

The victim was hospitalized for serious injuries including facial fractures, a broken tooth and broken ribs and had to be put on a ventilator for a day.

At first Davis was a person of interest in the assault, but witnesses later came forward identify him as the aggressor of the attack.

Witnesses told investigators that the victim tried to confront Davis after the NBA forward nearly struck him with his car.

Davis has not commented on the attack.

It’s been an erratic year for Davis, who in February, was arrested on drug possession and distribution charges.

Police found 126 grams of marijuana, a briefcase of $92,000 in cash, and a ledger in his hotel room in Maryland, according to ABC7.

Despite the findings he posted a since-deleted video to Instagram to warn his followers to not believe online reports about the raid.

His attorney says the former basketball player maintains his innocence.

Davis last played for the NBA in 2015. During his NBA career he played for the Boston Celtics, Orlando Magic and the Los Angeles Clippers.

The victim suffered multiple broken bones, fractures to his face, a broken tooth, and was placed on a ventilator for a day after Davis’ alleged attack. Davis pictured above
