Expert reveals how to take 10 years off your face just by changing your hair colour

Thousands of Australian women are forking out a fortune on all kinds of ‘miracle’ anti-ageing treatments in a bid to remain ‘youthful’ for as long as possible.  

But for many, the pricey Botox sessions, fad products and time-consuming weekly facials are placing far too much pressure on the budget. 

So what if you could turn back the clock by a decade just by updating your hair colour?

One such colour is the sweetly-named baby blonde shade.

‘As in the exact colour you see on babies. It’s bright and sparkly but the tone is very soft and with a tiny hint of warmth it lifts the skin,’ she told FEMAIL.

‘It has balanced warm and cool tones that flatter the skin in daylight and artificial light and it’s not too heavy looking and gives plenty of shine,’ Shari explained.

‘Soft amber as a base or as a highlight through blonde or brown hair imparts a natural glow onto the skin and softens the look of lines and pigmentation.’ 

If you’re after a blonder approach lean towards honey tones.

‘Contouring is a technique that colourists use to sculpt the contours of the face and cheekbones and draw attention to certain features like lips, eyes and eyebrows,’ she explained.

‘The clever colour placement can even make sagging jawlines look firmer.’
