Fashion Nova crop top is slammed by shoppers – but would YOU dare to wear it?

‘You might as well be topless’: Ultra-revealing cropped waistcoat by Fashion Nova is slammed by shoppers

  • California-based Fashion Nova has been slammed over a barely-there crop top
  • Retailer promoted its Party Starter Cropped Tank on Instagram earlier this week
  • But many shoppers blasted the crop top for leaving very little to the imagination

Controversial clothing label Fashion Nova has once again been slammed for its eccentric pieces – this time over a barely-there crop top.

The California-based online retailer promoted its Party Starter Cropped Tank on Instagram earlier this week, with the caption reading: ‘Head-turning is what we’re here for.’

Yet while heads certainly turned for the $22 (£18) top, it wasn’t all positive as many customers blasted the brand’s lace-up crop top for leaving very little to the imagination.

The cropped waistcoat flashes ample cleavage with only its rhinestone-encrusted ties holding the fabric together.

With its tight fit leaving little room for a bra, unimpressed social media users were keen to share their thoughts on the racy attire.

‘Might as well be topless’, one Instagram user fumed, as another said: ‘Um that’s too small for her…’

A third wrote: ‘Dude there’s nothing left to the imagination.’

Mocking the product’s revealing design, one social media user asked: ‘So what if you wanna put your hair up?’

Another joked: ‘Perfect for grocery shopping.’

It isn’t the first time Fashion Nova – advertised by the likes of Cardi B and the Kardashian clan – has come under fire this month over their products.

Yet it wasn't all bad reviews for the revealing number, as some customers left hearts and positive messages on the Instagram post

Earlier this month, the online retailer faced backlash for selling a shirt featuring a burning building and a phrase about ‘paradise’.

Some customers thought it was a tasteless reference to the wildfires which tore through Paradise, California, last year.

It was first sold by the brand last year before being removed after horrified shoppers pointed out its coincidental similarities to the California Camp Fire, which destroyed 153,000 acres of land in November.

But customers noticed the shirt back online this month, and called out the brand for being insensitive and disrespectful.
