  • Security ushers the man away while most supporters did not seem to notice

This is the shocking moment a father uses his young child as a weapon to lash out at a rival fan during a baseball game in Japan.

The unruly spectator was being escorted out of the ground by security when he swung the little boy at another supporter’s head during the match in Yokohama.

Onlookers watched in disbelief as the father – who was holding the child around the waist – suddenly grabbed his legs and hurled him head first at the man, following a row with opposing fans.

The man reportedly saw red after watching his side Hanshin Tigers go 4-0 down to Yokohama DeNA BayStars in their Nippon Professional Baseball clash on Tuesday night.

Footage of the incident – filmed by a fan – went viral on social media yesterday.

It shows a man wearing a Hanshin Tigers jersey carrying the small child as he is led out of the ground by several security guards.

They stand between him and rival fans as he appears to point and goad them but they do not retaliate and try to ignore him.

He then seems to take particular exception to a man sat watching the game and flings the child at him like a rag doll, striking him on the head.

The boy flails awkwardly in the air as his head jolts back from the force of the throw.

Stunned by the move, the rival fan gets up to confront him but the father and child are quickly ushered out of the ground by security.

Most of the nearby spectators have their attention on what is happening on the field and do not seem to notice the violence behind them.

It is not known if any further action has been taken against him.
