A woman catering company boss who forced a 15-year-old girl to take part in a series of sordid sex games, a court heard.
Deborah Evans, 44, is accused of controlling and abusing the teenager by repeatedly subjecting her to sex attacks.
A court heard the series of alleged assaults took place when Evans was 27 and the girl was a 15-year-old high school student.
Prosecutor Michael Hammett said the alleged victim waited 16 years before making a complaint to police, but had kept a diary as a schoolgirl which detailed the assaults.
Mr Hammett said: ‘She kept a folder of letters that she never sent. She made references to what happened to her some years before at the hands of Evans.
‘These incidents were not done willingly. The victim would ask that Evans not do these things to her but she didn’t listen. She felt as though she was under Evan’s control.
‘Whether she allowed these things to happen didn’t put up much of a fight doesn’t matter.
‘She hadn’t reached the age of 16 and the age of consent. She was not capable of consenting or agreeing to these things happening.’
Mr Hammett said the girl confided in a school teacher at the time of the alleged attacks, but she decided not to ‘pursue’ the allegations after they were reported to social services.
The woman – who is now in her 30s – told Cardiff Crown Court Evans had looked up to the older woman.
She said: ‘I thought she was great. Funny. She had a rebellious side and I liked it. We got on fine and there were no problems.’
But the woman said Evans began to make advances towards her, including trying to kiss her on the lips when they were alone together.
She said: ‘I said I didn’t want to kiss her. She had never said anything like that before or suggested she was interested in me in that way.’
The woman said Evans later became ‘very controlling’ and would ‘belittle’ her in front of friends and assaulted her over five months.
But she said in private Evans – who owns and runs Cardiff Cuisine Catering – began assaulting her by forcing her to perform sex acts at both of their homes.
Evans, from Deere Place, Ely, Cardiff, denies 11 counts of indecent assault on a girl aged under 16 between October 1999 and February 2000.
