Budget airline Scoot is offering one-way tickets from Perth to Athens for just $309.

The Singaporean airline is also offering flights to the Greek capital from Sydney and the Gold Coast for $329 and from Melbourne for $339.

The price does not include food or luggage and comes to around $500 when these are added. All flights are via Singapore.

Scoot also plans to launch a route to Berlin for $349 from the Gold Coast for $359 from Sydney and $369 from Melbourne. 

Flights from Perth to Singapore start at $115, Ho Chi Minh City at $139, Phuket in Thailand or Langkawi in Malaysia at $149.

Lee Lik Hsin, CEO of Scoot’s parent company Budget Aviation Holdings, said the route to Athens was introduced to meet passenger demand.

He added: ‘Scoot has devoted much thought to configuring our cabin product and services to elevate and transform the low-cost ravel experience enabled by our world-first, all 787 Dreamliner fleet.

‘This has positioned us well to mount our first ever long-haul flight between Asia Pacific and Europe.’

The sale for flights on certain days this winter continues until 15 April.
