Woman aged 102 ‘confesses’ to murdering 92-year-old at a care home in France

Police suspect a woman aged 102 of having murdered her 92-year-old neighbour at a retirement home in northern France.
The woman, who has not been named, has been taken to a psychiatric hospital after the attack.
She told one of her carers at the home in Chézy-sur-Marne that she had ‘killed someone’ before the body was discovered, reports the BBC.

At the time of her alleged confession, she was ‘in a very agitated state, confused’, according to the prosecutor.
The victim was found in bed with a severely bruised face just after midnight.
A post-mortem found that she died of ‘strangulation and blows to the head’.
The suspect is now being evaluated to find out if she is criminally responsible for her actions.
