A heartbroken friend of comedian Eurydice Dixon has revealed the moving eulogy he delivered at her funeral.

The 22-year-old was on her way home from a performance at Highlander Bar in Melbourne’s CBD when she was allegedly raped and murdered.

Kieran Butler first met Ms Dixon in 2015 at an ‘Open Mic’ show he was running, and provided the Herald Sun his eulogy.

‘I noticed her straight away as having a unique and original voice. Over the last three years I have watched on as she developed as a writer and performer of the often misunderstood art form that is stand up,’ the eulogy read.

‘She had the mind of lawyer and could attack an issue or idea from polar opposites. She could genuinely empathise with and understand a point of view or action she vehemently disagreed with.’

He went on to describe her as a ‘staunch feminist’ who was able to make fun of feminism, and make those around her laugh with her jokes.
