Woman is shot by cops after a tense stand-off at her home – as police stay tight-lipped on whether she survived

  • Her condition  remains unknown since she was taken to hospital Tuesday night

A woman has been shot by police at a home in Western Australia.

Officers attended a Karloo address in Geraldton, north of Perth, at 6.15pm on Tuesday.

‘During an incident at the address, an officer discharged their firearm causing a woman to receive a gunshot wound,’ a police statement said.

Emergency crews took the woman to Geraldton Regional Hospital around 6.50pm.

Her condition remains unknown and police have remained tight-lipped over whether she survived.   

WA Police Force Major Crime officers will travel to Geraldton to commence an investigation into the incident.
