Gillian Anderson goes au naturale for animal rights in a racy new ad for PETA.
The X-Files actress stripped down to her birthday suit to support the organization’s campaign against fur.
In the black and white photo, the Emmy winner, 49, wears nothing but a pair of cat ears while the words ‘I’d rather go naked than wear fur’ help cover her bare body.

Gillian threw back her head and beamed brightly while covering her modesty with two carefully placed hands.
Taking a step away from her natural style, the star’s hair was curled into tight ringlets.
Speaking about teaming up with PETA to People during the shoot, the star said: ‘I found it liberating to use my body to make an important statement.
‘People tend to look away from anti-fur ads showing mangled animals, but they’re drawn to PETA’s “naked” campaign, and I’m proud to be a part of it.’

The ad will appear on a 70-foot billboard over Penn Station during New York Fashion Week, while begins Thursday.
This isn’t the first time the starlet’s joined forces with the animal-rights organization.
Inspired by her series Hannibal, the commercial showed the starlet sitting at the end of end of a long table with a unappetizing roast upon it.
‘Eating meat: It’s a matter of taste,’ Gillian grimaces before the camera pans down to show her bandaged upper-thigh.

Gillian had the honor of receiving a star on the Hollywood Walk Of Fame back on January 8.
During the ceremony, the British-American actress expressed her gratitude for getting to play FBI Special Agent Dana Scullt, whom she described as ‘a woman who wasn’t just the object of man’s desire but a strong-willed, smart, brave woman who was career-driven and fiercely independent.’

The show, which is currently in its 11th season, airs Wednesdays on Fox.
