Florida girl, 13, hospitalized with constipation is found to be PREGNANT with a 70-year-old man’s baby

A 13-year-old girl went to a Florida hospital last week suffering from symptoms believed to be related to constipation – only to discover that she was pregnant, leading to the arrest of her 70-year-old caretaker.
Police in Boca Raton on Friday charged Renaud Jerome with three counts of sexual activity with a child under 18 and one count of impregnating a minor.
He remained at the Palm Beach County Jail without bond on Thursday morning.
According to police, the teen arrived at North Broward Medical Center in Pompano Beach at around 11am last Friday complaining of stomach pain.
Following a medical examination, doctors discovered that the patient was 14 weeks pregnant and contacted the Broward County Sheriff’s Office and the Florida Department of Children and Families.
When interviewed by officials, the girl said that Jerome, who has been living with her, ‘would touch her and have sex with her,’ and was the father of her unborn baby, reported Miami Herald.
A police report does not disclose the nature of Jerome’s relationship with the teen, only quoting the 70-year-old suspect as telling investigators that he looked after the girl a few times.

Jerome, who was at the hospital with the teen, was questioned by police through a Creole translator and admitted to repeatedly having sex with the child.
‘Jerome stated that within the last couple of months he has had consensual vaginal intercourse with [redacted] three times,’ police wrote in the report. ‘Jerome stated that [redacted] was interested in him more than he was interested in her and never forced her to do anything.’
Under Florida law, the age of consent in the state is 18, but people between ages 16-17 can give consent to have sex with a person up to the age of 23.
No one younger than 16 can legally give consent to a sexual partner.
Jerome has been barred by a judge from having any contact with the victim, or anyone under the age of 18, reported nwfdailynews.com.
