A newborn baby has made a miraculous recovery after being dumped in a hospital bathroom bin by its teenage mother in Peru.
CCTV shows the teenager, assisted by two friends, sneaking out of a health centre in the district of El Agustino, in the capital city of Lima after abandoning the newborn in the toilet wastebin.
Moments later, doctors are seen rushing in to the bathroom and come out holding the baby in their arms.

Thanks to the swift action of the doctors, the baby’s life could be saved and the infant is now in a stable condition.
The teenage mother was later identified when she arrived at a local hospital after experiencing a postpartum haemorrhage.
This clip shows the moment the woman leaves her baby in the toilet, and the moment doctors rescue it from the bin.
The young woman was reported to have arrived at the hospital asking for medication along with her two companions.
When the video starts, the girl is already in the toilet when two other women arrive carrying a lime-coloured skirt.

This clip shows the two women standing by before the teenager emerges wearing the skirt, and all three of them flee the health centre.
Later, two doctors in white coats rush into the toilet where the women had been.
A crowd forms and two other medical staff are seen carrying the newborn baby out of the bathroom.
It is not known whether the teenager gave birth in the toilet or not. The baby was transferred to Hipolito Unanue hospital, where it is said to be in a stable condition.
The teenage mother was later admitted to the same hospital, but her condition is not known.
It is also not known what legal action she will face for abandoning the baby.
