A mother was left scared for her life after discovering a naked man hiding inside her bathroom after breaking into her Gold Coast home.
The woman, whose six-year-old son was just metres away in a separate bedroom, quickly got out of the house and called police.
When officers arrived at the Southport home, the bare-bottom intruder had fled the bathroom and scaled their back fence.
The intruder of the Southport home was bitten on the arm by the police dog and is now in police custody
Police tracked the intruder down as he made his way through different backyards in the neighbourhood.
Eventually, the police caught up and cornered the man by an apartment block outhouse in another street.
A police dog ended up biting the man on the arm, after he allegedly continued to act in an aggressive manner and resisted arrest.
He was taken to the hospital for surgery under police guard and is set to show up at Southport District court on Monday.
He will face several charges including trespassing, obstructing police, possession of drugs, and indecent acts.
