Grant Denyer has been announced as the new host of Channel 10’s Deal or No Deal reboot.
The 46-year-old said he is ‘incredibly excited’ to be hosting the popular game show, which will be returning to screens in 2024.
‘We’re back baby! I’m incredibly excited to be bringing this global mega-format back to Aussie screens,’ Grant said.
‘It’s an absolute gem of a show with an enormous and much-deserved worldwide following.’
The game show was originally screened on Channel Seven and hosted by Andrew O’Keefe before it was axed in 2014, after running for a decade.
Grant Denyer has replaced troubled TV star Andrew O’Keefe as host of Channel 10’s Deal or No Deal reboot
It became a popular fixture on Australian television, with O’Keefe rising to celebrity status, including hosting Seven’s Weekend Sunrise.
However the fallen star has not been seen on television screen in years following his recent court appearances over domestic violence and a very public battle with drug addiction.
At its peak in 2007-2008, the guessing game regularly pulled in 900,000 viewers.
Channel Ten’s Deal or No Deal reboot will air weekdays at 6pm in 2024.
It comes after Grant’s recent appearance on The Amazing Race Australia with his wife Chezzi.
The Logie winner suffered a frightening medical emergency after competing in a dance challenge with Chezzi, in the humid Indian heat.
In dramatic scenes, Grant can be seen on the ground as paramedics struggle to give him urgent medical attention while wife Chezzi watches on.
‘Can we get the medic? He’s shaking, he’s shivering,’ a voice can be heard saying.
‘We were cooking from the inside,’ Chezzi explained to cameras after completing their latest challenge.

Things then took a sudden turn for the worst when it was apparent Grant was very unwell.
‘You need to sit down. Grant? You’re not OK, are you? You’re looking like you’re going to faint,’ Chezzi yelled.
Medics soon brought him inside to an air conditioned room, however his face worryingly pale.
Grant eventually recovered to the point that he was able to sit up and walk around – but it was too much for them to continue the race and the couple were eliminated from the show.
