But Hamish Blake, 36, brushed aside his distaste for tradition to wish his wife, Zoë Foster Blake, a happy 38th birthday on Friday.
The smitten comedian took to Instagram to share a collection of sweet family snaps presented in a slideshow he created, alongside a heartfelt tribute.

The loveable comedian poked fun at the effort it took in scrolling back three weeks ago to ‘find the ammo’ for the sweet slideshow.

The couple celebrated Zoë’s birthday with a romantic dinner on their escapade in Alberobello, a town in Italy’s Apulia region known for its trulli.
Zoë shared an adorable pre-dinner snap on Instagram of the two lovingly embracing each other, as she looked stunning in a yellow sequins dress.

The journalist and beauty expert sarcastically captioned the post: ”I love you in sequins.” – Me, to me.’
Zoë and Blake have been married for seven years and tied the knot in 2012 at the Wolgan Valley in the Blue Mountains.
‘I married the love of my life, several lives perhaps, in a very small ceremony that was genuinely the best, most fun, perfect day of both our lives,’ Zoe wrote in her blog, zotheysay.
The pair share two children including four-year-old son, Sonny and daughter Rudy, 1.
