He’s the British heartthrob who known to draw a crowd or two. 

And on Tuesday, Harry Styles was literally mobbed by fans as he took to the ARIAS red carpet in Sydney. 

And it’s no wonder why as the 23-year-old looked dapper in a light purple suit with paisley print and plenty of statement rings as he posed for selfies next to hoards of enthusiastic followers.

A few fans were pictured getting very emotional as they spotted the star. 

One lone fan was seen bawling his eyes out as he hugged his friend possibly with joy at seeing Harry.

Another fan was seen clutching her phone in tears as she appeared to be having a phone conversation about her hero.

 Over the weekend, the teen sensation no doubt won a few more fans when he voiced his support for marriage equality in Australia. 

Harry was performing in Sydney, when he spoke about the same-sex marriage vote result in the country, saying: ‘About bloody time!’

‘The rainbow flags can’t be ignored. Congratulations,’ Harry said.

The Signs of the Times singer reportedly held flags while on stage at Sydney’s Enmore Theatre. 

At the start of the show, eager fans rushed to the stage and Harry asked them all to ‘calm down,’ as security plucked some fans out of the crowd – presumably for safety.

Harry is set to play an intimate gig in Melbourne on November 30.

Tickets for both performances sold out in a matter of seconds, proving his formidable force as a solo artist since departing One Direction.

Fans who weren’t fortunate enough to snap up a ticket will still have the chance to see the hitmaker perform in Australia this month, albeit on television.

After the ARIAS Harry will return for four stadium gigs in Brisbane, Sydney, Melbourne and Perth in April.
