Helena Bonham Carter takes a tense phone call as she heads out for a stroll in London wrapped up against the January chill in a tartan jacket and scarf combo

Helena Bonham Carter looked just about as excited for the Prime Minister’s 8PM announcement as the rest of the UK on Monday, as she was snapped out and about in London.

The actress, 54, looked tense as she spoke on her phone, while wrapped up against the winter chill.

The star wore a matching red tartan jacket and scarf combo over black slacks and combat boots.

Bad call? Helena Bonham Carter looked just about as excited for the Prime Minister’s 8PM announcement as the rest of the UK on Monday, as she was snapped out and about in London

She whipped her mane up atop her head, tied loosely with a bow, and appeared to be make-up free for the jaunt.

She also carried what looked to be a script under one arm.

Helena was seen nipping into a health food shop, amid London’s Tier 4 status, which state only essential shopping is allowed.

Helena is no doubt anticipating the stricter COVID-19 measures set to be announced on Monday evening by Boris Johnson.

Helena has recently wrapped up her tenure as Princess Margaret on Netflix’s The Crown.

And last week, on another outing, she bumped into co-star Emma Corrin, who played Princess Diana on the hit series.

They seemed thrilled to cross paths on the chilly London street, with Emma, 25, and her mystery man, just been seen looking at wedding dresses in a store window.

Helena was with her boyfriend Rye Dag Holmboe.

The quartet, who were out walking their respective dogs, chatted animatedly, while observing social-distancing rules.

Their encounter came after Emma had been admiring gowns made by Scottish designer Joyce Young.

The designs, which start at about £1,500, are sleeker than the gown she wore to recreate Diana’s ivory taffeta dress with a 25ft train on The Crown.
