Holly Willoughby, Phillip Schofield & Kate Garraway model second-hand Christmas jumpers for charity

Holly Willoughby, Phillip Schofield and Kate Garraway have joined a host of famous faces to celebrate Save The Children’s Christmas Jumper Day.

Each of the celebrities has modelled second-hand vintage jumpers, some of which will be distributed to Save The Children charity shops across the country to buy.

Holly, 41, and Phillip, 60, showed why they’re one of the country’s most beloved duos as they slipped into a joint jumper for one hilarious snap.

Holly also tried on a bright orange jumper adorned with holly leaves to poke fun at her own name.

While Kate wore a green sweater and charming Christmas Tree hat, while being draped in festoons of tinsel. 

Speaking about the campaign, Holly said: ‘I’m really excited to be taking part in Save the Children’s Christmas Jumper Day again this year and I’m delighted that I get to do it alongside Phil!’

Phillip added: ‘I’m supporting Save the Children’s Christmas Jumper Day because I never forget we knitted squares for Save the Children when I was in infant school – so sometime last century!

‘It’s such a brilliant cause and I had so much fun trying to squeeze into that jumper with Holly!’

They were joined by Olly Murs who modelled a patterned jumper and playfully posed with a boa of tinsel.

Martin, 61, said: ‘Christmas Jumper Day is all about looking silly for a serious cause. I love to embarrass Harley and Roman with the wackiest jumpers I can find!

The charity is also urging the public to up-cycle old jumpers to create new festive looks with the addition of old baubles and tinsel. 

The portraits marks 11 years of Save The Children’s Christmas jumper day and aims to encourage the public to reuse their old jumpers instead of buying new.

The money raised will go towards helping disadvantaged children access food, healthcare and medication.

Save the Children said its Christmas Jumper Day – being held on December 8 and which asks those taking part to donate £2 – has raised more than £30 million since launching in 2012.

For 2022, the campaign is set to reach twice as many children as before due to the Government’s Aid Match funding which will double every donation up to £2 million.
