A law student experienced every New Yorker’s worst nightmare on Thursday, but she lived to tell about it.
Rikke Bukh, 22, fainted and fell onto the subway track at a station in Brooklyn just as a Manhattan-bound train approached the platform on Thursday morning.
‘Oh, my God! Oh, my God! Did I hit her?’ the L-train operated said, while jumping out to see if the woman was OK, according to the New York Post.
Miraculously, Bukh survived her fall, as she landed just right, between the rail and platform wall, to save her life.

The young woman became dizzy and fell off-balance, off the platform and down into the track area, policed told the New York Post.
‘She just stumbled off sideways,’ a 26-year-old film distributor named Jasper Basch, who witnessed everything, told the Post.
On-lookers were shook by what they saw, and what they thought they might have seen.
‘The train stopped, and she was underneath it,’ Basch said.
‘It was a terrifying thing to witness. You consider, oh my God, did I just watch somebody die?’

‘Praying to whatever god is out there for the girl next to me who just fell onto the L train track,’ the user wrote.
‘I am completely traumatized my limbs are numb… I feel powerless.’

Those watching were thankful firefighters got her out of there relatively quickly.
‘I have to say, it was a comforting thing to see MTA employees were able to rush to respond like that,’ Basch said.
‘You have to give them credit. Everyone was really on top of it.’

‘She says “hi” to everyone, and I feel horrible she has to go through this. You can’t help if you faint, but this is why you should stay away, far away from the tracks,’ he added. The cause of Bukh’s dizzy spell remains unknown. Doctors were reportedly running tests on the woman on Thursday.
